Rob Drennan is a software developer with a Bachelor degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.  He spent the last 15 years as a programmer holding titles such as developer, senior developer, team lead, system architect, product manager and software development manager.  He has specialized strongly in security working on developing solutions for encrypting hard drives for the USA and Canadian governments and has worked with the National Security Agency (NSA) in the USA and Communications Security Establishment (CSE) in Canada.

Rob has worked on Windows systems all his life from the bottom-up dealing with hardware and device drivers in the operating system all the way to the top and working with applications and networks.  He has also worked in Linux the same way and is knowledgeable about all Apple products.  He has a passion for technology and a knack for solving computer-related problems.

Rob has also been told by many of his peers that he is an excellent teacher, able to explain terms and make understanding computers easy and fun.

Rob has a passion for solving computer problems.  He’s always been a go to guy for family and friends.  In his spare time he volunteers in Scouting and likes to get outside to camp, hike or sail.
